Bluebird Food, Feeders, and More
During the warmer months from May through October, bluebirds typically find enough food to thrive. However, during harsh conditions such as prolonged chilly, wet weather, snow, cold, or when ice covers most of the wild berries, bluebirds benefit from supplemental feeder food. Mealworms, suet, sunflower hearts, softened fruits, and cornmeal muffins are all suitable options, with mealworms being the best choice as bluebirds will readily eat them year-round. During the breeding season, mealworms are especially helpful as harried parents will gratefully accept them to help feed their ravenous young, supplementing their natural insect diet.
Note: Supplemental feeding can make a significant difference for bluebirds and their young during periods of persistent rain and cool weather in the spring. Under these conditions, bluebirds struggle to feed their young and may prioritize their own survival. By providing mealworms and even scrambled eggs, you can help bluebirds and their young survive during these challenging times.

We do not add extra fees to our shipping and the rates are purely cost recovery. You pay what we pay.
Most shipping to Ontario or Quebec takes 2 - 3 business days once the order has been processed and packed.
Orders for in stock items are packed same day! Deliveries are picked up Monday - Friday mornings by our couriers.

Yes, we can ship birds seasonally. Typically May 15th - October 30th.
**We will NOT ship birds outside of Canada.**
Weather that day will be factored in as we will not ship birds if the temperature exceeds 25C at any point during travel.
