Services We Offer

By far our most popular service, we have been grooming birds for over 30 years! We have corrected many malformed beaks and trimmed the nails on thousands of birds. We groom using a specialized dremel rotary tool to file the nails instead of using clippers for safety reasons.

We provide bird boarding services at our store. We have four different cage sizes available to book depending on the size of your bird OR you can bring your own cage (must be thoroughly cleaned before drop off). Pricing is very reasonable and the same for all birds.

We offer bird banding with high quality stainless steel bands for bird sizes ranging from Lineolated Parakeets to Macaws. Banding is by far the most popular way to identify a bird. A bird grooming appointment will be required for this request.

We offer one-on-one training and consulting for both new and experienced bird owners. Appointments required and can be held online via zoom or in person at Exotic Wings. We have over 30 years of bird experience and are ready to help you and your bird!

The most accurate way to tell a bird's sex is via a DNA blood test. We make every effort to make the sample collection process as smooth as possible. In most cases it takes longer to write on the sample card than it does to collect the sample. We generally get the results back in about a week.

DNA fingerprints are unique to each individual. Read as a pattern and referred to as a DNA profile, the results are permanent and can even be used as an extra form of identification in a court of law.

A new DNA test to determine the relationship between birds. The Avian Relation DNA Test has been designed to solve problems of inbreeding and to help maintain a healthy aviary by establishing the best pairs.

Every bird deserves a second chance, and here at Exotic Wings, we make sure that each bird finds the perfect home. If you are interested in adopting a Second Chance bird, or would like to rehome yours we can help!

(Nails & Teeth Only) We offer hard grooming services for small pets. This means we can trim nails and teeth. We do not groom fur or offer bathing services.

We are able to groom nearly any reptile which needs it, including turtles, dragons, monitors and more! We offer nail trimming (and beak correction on turtles).
