Seed is an important part of many birds' diets. It is important to remember that seed is not a complete diet on its own, and at the bare minimum must be fed with a vitamin supplement. Seed is a high energy food, and must be treated as such. It is relatively low in nutrients and is best fed as a treat for most birds. Some birds, like parrotlets, do require a daily amount of seed but this still is not a main diet. Seed can be sprouted to make it more nutritious.

Do you ship products?

YES! We ship and pack all orders in house & use recycled packing materials!

Shipping costs will apply and are calculated at checkout. We do not add extra fees to our shipping and the rates are purely cost recovery. You pay what we pay.

How long will it take to get my order?

Most shipping to Ontario or Quebec takes 2 - 3 business days once the order has been processed and packed.

Orders for in stock items are packed same day! Deliveries are picked up Monday - Friday mornings by our couriers.

What is a Pre-Order / Special Order?

Pre-Order: This item is coming soon! Pre-ordering reserves your spot so you’ll receive it as soon as it’s in stock.

Do you ship live birds?

Yes, we can ship birds seasonally. Typically May 15th - October 30th.

**We will NOT ship birds outside of Canada.**

Weather that day will be factored in as we will not ship birds if the temperature exceeds 25C at any point during travel.

Shipping costs start at $350 via WestJet. Shipping costs are subject to change, and all shipping is at the discretion of Exotic Wings and Pet Things Inc.

Exotic Wings was founded over 30 years ago by Mark & Lisa in a humble 500 sq ft shop.

Since then, we've grown into a trusted destination for bird lovers, with a continued focus on education, expert guidance, and top-quality supplies to help you raise happy, healthy feathered companions.

To ensure the best experience, bird visits and pickups are by appointment only. A small dry goods section is open for walk-ins (no birds on display). Appointments allow us to provide a calm, educational setting and personalized, one-on-one support for every bird purchase.
