Lories and Lorikeets are less common in Aviculture due to their special diet and small clutch sizes (just 2 eggs!). Lories have a very unique tongue which has a brush-like appearance to aid them in consuming their natural diet of pollens and soft fruits. Lories have a tendency to bond very strongly with their owners, and are highly intelligent. Many species can learn to say at least a few words. Unfortunately, Canada has a very low number of lories in Aviculture. Below you'll find a couple species we work with at Exotic Wings!
